Elizabeth Wojciak

Taking its title from the pensive quote by David Hockey, We see with memory is an exploration of nostalgia, identity, and the way we store and distort memory. This exhibition reflects Wojciak’s ongoing interest in abstraction and its formal properties such as colour, texture, shape, and contrast. Through an understanding and experimentation of these elements, applied in layers, scratched back and reworked, Wojciak creates the lingering impression of remembered moments and the fragmented nature of memory.
